When Should a Water Heater Be Replaced?

There are several signs to consider when evaluating the need to replace a home’s water heater. Here are just a few indications that replacing a water heater should be considered.

The Cost of Repairs Is Too Great.

In some cases, the combined costs of parts and labor will approach the cost of installing a brand new water heater. The Aquarius team will never recommend replacing a water heater if doing so is unnecessary, but we’ll certainly let you know when replacing a water heater would be prudent.

The Water Heater Doesn’t Provide Enough Hot Water To Support the Home.

When your family members are constantly complaining because the hot water supply runs out, updating to a new water heater that delivers a more consistent supply of hot water is recommended.

Investing in a tankless water heater will provide your home with instant and endless hot water. Our team will evaluate your family’s use and recommend appropriate solutions.

Too Much Water Is Wasted Waiting for Water To Heat Up and Reach Its Destination.

In many homes, there is one water heater which supplies hot water to the entire home, and it’s often far from the kitchen or bathrooms. Adding a second water heater often makes sense when countless gallons of water are wasted before hot water even starts to flow or reaches its intended destination. My heat had gone out and I called Aquarius (formerly Comfort systems). Dan came out and was extremely patient explaining basically how a furnace operates. The furnace is older , yet I didn't feel pressured about anything. I was expecting a higher bill and was surprised at what I paid, very reasonable. A very knowledgeable guy!! Always happy with my services from Aquarius Home Service. Today I had a plumber, Gordy, come to assess my home. He was warm and very personable. The assessment was timely and thorough. He showed me his findings and we discussed his impressions. He was incredibly helpful and informative without the attitude and patronizing attitude I sometimes get from folks in his line of business. Lots of checks and controls they go through with the organization, which tells me they have high levels of support and oversight. Been experiencing issues with our AC/furnace not working and we had no idea what was causing the issue. My install team was great, they were worried it would take two days due to the boiler arriving late, but they did it in one and we're very happy. I did subject them to smelling pulled pork and ribs the whole day, so I made sure to give them some, but they honestly deserved it. Explained what they did, how to use the new boiler, and left the place cleaner than it was when they came. Honestly what more do you need?

Service was very good. However, the scheduling desk not so much. When I originally scheduled the checkup, it set it up for the same day (9/19). However, scheduling called and asked that we reschedule for 9/25. I agreed. Then on the morning of 9/25, I was called asking to reschedule AGAIN. I refused. The service person came anyway as scheduled as his last visit of the day.Heating/cooling service scheduling can be improved.
