What is Drain Pipe Relining?

Drain pipe relining involves inserting a polymer resin-coated tube into a damaged pipe. This lining is known as a “cure-in-place pipe lining” or CIPP. An air bladder inside the liner inflates to force the resin tube to form and adhere to the inner walls of the pipe. The bladder is deflated and removed, leaving a clear channel for drainage. When the resin dries, a durable new inner surface of the pipe is completed.

What are the Benefits of Pipe Relining?

Relining a drain pipe is an affordable process that allows homeowners to avoid costly pipe replacement projects.

  • Affordable – with much less labor required than a pipe replacement, relining costs homeowners much less.
  • Fast – relining projects are almost always a single-day project but yield long-lasting results.
  • Considered a “trenchless” procedure – no digging required.
  • Fix numerous leaks at once – if a section of pipe has numerous leaks, relining the pipe can fix them all in the same procedure.
