Hydration Tips To Live By
Are you drinking enough water throughout the day? Don’t lie, now! The average person should be drinking roughly 64 ounces of water per day — also known as eight, eight ounce glasses. Always staying hydrated is important, as it can help keep you healthy — here are some tips you should live by.
Drink More During Exercise
For those who are exercising regularly (which should be everyone), you want to drink more water during this period of exercise than if you were at home on the couch. A good rule of thumb to follow is to drink about 10 ounces of water every 20 minutes. If you don’t exercise and are having trouble staying hydrated, simply start working out and you’ll crave that delicious H2O!
Be Aware of Fatigue
Anyone who becomes dehydrated will experience a period of fatigue, dizziness, and even cotton mouth. Lean muscles mass is made up of almost three-fourths water, so not having strength or becoming fatigued easily can signal dehydration. If at all you have a feeling of lethargy or over-tiredness, think about how much water you drank in recent hours. Not much? Start drinking!
Pay Attention at the Bowl
The color of urine can show a person how dehydrated they are. A dark yellow urine can mean that you’re extremely dehydrated, while on the other hand, clear urine can mean that you’re over hydrated (yes, this is a thing). Everyone should aim to have urine with a light yellow tint. (Okay, we swear that we’re done talking about urine.)
Every person should aim to be fully hydrated at all times — which isn’t a hard task when you keep these tips in mind. In order to have the best drinking water possible, upgrade your house by installing a whole house filtration system.
